Google has this technology, and I believe a couple of other search engines do as well. I find it the most important because companies will change their marketing and develop new products based upon this info; it shows how people over time can shape multiple industries by simply sending a search query.

Even if it is getting pushed out by digital now, film gave us great things like TV and movies (which revolutionized how people spend their free time, get their news, play video games, etc.) and paved the way for youTube, podcasts, etc. Having video available online I also think really helped open the door for music and other media online. So, even if film is not going to make it to the digital age, I think it is nice to remember as the father of some of the pioneering digital fields that we see nowadays.

  Of digital communication, internet would be the most influential. People can communicate with each other in mere seconds regardless of distance. It is a great forum for ideas and thoughts to be shared and criticized. Globally, news is nearly instant and the internet has allowed people to stay connected and have relationships with people, both personal and business, that they would be unable to otherwise.
